Community Service Blog

1. With rising food costs food is out of reach for many families, therefore please continue your $1 or more per week donations to the Community Services. The benevolence fund and Community Services are not the same. Please be sure to write “Community Services” on the envelope when you return your tithes.

2. Distribution: Sunday, September 15th, 1-3pm. Volunteers meet at 11am. Also, CORE GEORGIA (Community Organized Relief Effort) will be present offering free FLU & COVID-19 vaccines from 11am-3pm. TANF, WIC, SNAP, CAPS & Medicaid application assistance will also be available.

3. Community Services needs your assistance, particularly the assistance of men. Be reminded that you do not have to commit to every day. A few hours each time will be helpful to us women and our neighbors.
4. Delivery: The Food Pantry has a new partnership with Walmart. We need volunteers (men) on Mondays & Thursdays @ 9am to assist with unloading and storing of food.
5. Community Services is no longer accepting clothes at this time.
6. Emergency!! The food pantry is in immediate need of a commercial size cooler/refrigerator.
