Many of us believe that children are our future. Children are the church’s future. Therefore, the church, parents and teachers have the responsibility to nurture and train them to become strong future members and leaders. How about the present? Should we not begin our training now instead of pressing the pause button on children? Research shows that if people do not accept Jesus as their Savior before they reach their teenage years, the chance of accepting Him later is very slim.
Children’s Ministries engages children in their formative years not only will build a strong church today, but will keep the church strong into the future.

The Realness of God
“The Realness of God” is the theme of this year’s Children’s Day program scheduled for October 3rd. All parents of children in Children’s Church are asked to meet for a brief 10‑minute gathering immediately after church on Sabbath, September 12, 2026.

- Have you ever visited a friend’s house and been given good food to eat and a comfortable place to sleep? A woman did that for Elisha. “If one falls down, his friend can help him up.” ECCLESIASTES 4:10, NIV God’s people are kind to one another.
- Has your family ever asked to borrow something from a neighbor? Some flour, or perhaps a tool? A poor widow once borrowed some unusual things. “Elisha replied, . . . ‘How can I help you?’ ” 2 KINGS 4:2, NIV. God’s people care for one another.
- Do you want to go to heaven? What do you want to see there? What do you want to do? Elijah wanted to go too “God . . . gives power and strength to his people.” PSALM 68:35, NIV. God gives us power.
- Do you remember ever being really, really sick? So sick that you thought you might never get well? That happened to the widow’s son “The Lord . . . cares for those who trust in him.” NAHUM 1:7, NIV. God will always answer our prayers.
- God helps me to be faithful no matter what happens. “ ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things’ ” (Matthew 25:23, NIV).
- When I obey God, I make the right choices in my community. “Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown”(Revelation 3:11, NIV).
- God helps me love my Christian family.“ ‘Love each other as I have loved you’ ” (John 15:12, NIV).
- God helps us when we are in trouble. “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them” (Psalm 34:7, NIV).
- God cares about all my problems.“ ‘Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find’ ” (Matthew 7:7, NIV).
